Behind the Scenes: people

Esther Verenazi

This month, we are putting the spotlight on our production sewist and label queen, Esther! She has been a part of the team since January 2023 contributing consistent hard-work and creativity from the moment she arrived.

Through her role as production sewist she enjoys “being creative with her hands and being surrounded by amazing, supportive people”. She values the 4T2D/Fourbital Factory mission of striving to reduce, reuse, and recycle in production processes to help the planet stay green and healthy. Her 4T2D product of choice is none other than the bucket hats because of their fun and cool colors!

Originally from Chatham, New York, Esther has built a life here in Vermont accompanied by her two long haired cats, Theoleonius and Miss Mavillene. She enjoys being active through bike rides and going to the gym as well as staying in and cuddling with her cats of course! Her creativity continues to flow outside of the office, noting her enjoyment of working on small projects and knitting. Her favorite things to do in Vermont are getting cherry dipped creemees in the summer (yum...) and hitting the slopes in the winter.

The Spring Collection

When we think of Spring, we imagine a time of growth and rejuvenation, which is what inspired our latest spring collection. The idea behind this is constant growth through every challenge faced, to become the best version of yourself. And what better time to grow than in the season of spring.

When we were designing the Spring collection, we wanted to create products that could act as staples for your spring wardrobe. The introduction of the jersey material created the perfect feel for warmer weather with its breathability. This material differentiates itself from our cotton modal interlock products because of its lightweight nature. We’ve combined our existing styles such as the MXD Tee and the PKT Tee with the jersey material to provide a fresh choice for the warmer weather.

In addition to new materials, we are also excited to be introducing new styles. The new Women’s Long Sleeve RPL tee comes in a stunning purple ombre color. This long sleeve perfectly marries comfort with style with its bell sleeve and cuff details. The new Women’s Mauve Jungle Graphic Jersey Tee introduces a neckline that 4T2D has never done before. With its wider shape, the garment creates a flattering openness around the neck and collarbone. Don't worry Men, this new collection isn't just about the Women, we've taken our favorite classic PKT tee and made it warm weather-approved by using the same cotton modal blend but in a jersey weight. Perfect for those warm days with its natural wicking and breathability features! Last but not least, our Spring Collection includes the Willow River Hat. A unique reversible style, one side being a solid color and the other having a beautiful willow print and sun protected. Perfect for being out on the water without having to worry about the sun!

What we love about the Spring collection is the creation of garments that both look good and feel good. These are products that will stay for the long run, made to be worn whilst you grow to become the best version of yourself. Mark your calendars, our Spring Collection will be released on Thursday, May 2nd!

Behind vermont lines:

Colchester Causeway

Each month we will ask our featured employee what their favorite place in Vermont is and why. This month, Esther has selected the most special place to her, the Colchester Causeway!

This spot can be found in Colchester, a charming town in Chittenden County, Vermont. This 3-mile stretch of one of the most beautiful trails in Vermont is surrounded by Lake Champlain. Whether you’re biking, running, or walking, this ideal spot provides a sensation of gliding over the water.

Esther exclaims “I love visiting ANYTIME of the year. I like sunbathing and swimming in the summer, making stairs out of the stones, cleaning up trash when I leave because this is the most special place to me. I feel obligated to keep it clean so I can enjoy it forever”. She notes the wildlife, enjoying watching turtles diving underwater and spotting the great blue herons landing on the rocks. On her visits, Esther takes in the sound of crashing waves and the beautiful wildflowers along the path.

The Colchester Causeway is an absolute highlight for locals and tourists alike. If you find yourself in need of a new place to explore with a breathtaking view, this is the place to go!
