Nancy Badami

This month we’re talking with Nancy Badami, our materials manager! 

Nancy started working for 4T2D and Fourbital Factory in November of 2022. One of her favorite parts of her job as materials manager is the process of seeing raw materials that she procures coming together to make a finished garment. She makes everything we create here possible from the very early stages! When asked what she likes most about 4T2D and Fourbital Factory she notes, “The commitment to valuing and protecting both our planet and people that is responsibly sourcing materials and providing healthcare to employees.” Her favorite 4T2D product is the long sleeve graphic interlock tee because of its warmth and coziness, mentioning that it’s great to wear in the winter! However, she does add that our new terry pocket tee dress might be in the running for her new favorite. 

Nancy is originally from the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. She is the stepmom to a beautiful one-and-a-half-year-old gray cat who she mentions is very vocal! Outside of work, she enjoys going on bike rides with her twelve-year-old daughter. She also likes to enjoy the outdoors and stay active through swimming and hiking. Nancy taps into her creative side through collage art-how cool! One of her favorite things to do in Vermont is study Vermont barns and gather natural supplies during hikes for her collage art.

The Summer Collection

We are excited to introduce our summer collection and this blog post will highlight two of the new products: the Women’s Reversible HI/LO Tank and the Women’s Sleeveless Tee! 

The Women’s Reversible HI/LO tank is a product we’re thrilled to talk all about. At 4T2D, we are all about versatility and that is what the HI/LO tank is all about. With its unique design, you can wear it four different ways. It has reversible colors, flip it inside out and you have a brand-new color to wear. Swap between the two based off which color you’re in the mood for that day. It’s also reversible in another way. You can wear it in the front or back interchanging between two different necklines. One side has a lower scoop neckline and the other has a higher boat neckline. Wear it either way depending on which vibe you want to go for! 

The new tank is made with soft and stretchy fabric that makes for the most comfortable wear. It hugs the body in all the right places giving an ultra-flattering look. It can be hard to find a tank top that feels like quality, and this is one that does. The material has a thickness to it, so you won’t have to worry about any sheerness. This is an absolute capsule wardrobe item. It’s as versatile as a tank can get. In hindsight you’re purchasing four different tanks all in one. Made with quality materials of cotton and modal jersey weight, it will last for a very long time. When you’re wearing it, you can tell a lot of work was put into perfecting it. 

We are also excited to introduce the Women’s Sleeveless Tee! It’s a shirt that fits like a t-shirt but has no sleeves. No D-I-Ying necessary, this tank comes already sleeveless, so you won’t have to go cutting an old T-shirt.  

This tank is very light and breathable, perfect for warm weather and being active. It’s an absolute wardrobe staple as it can be worn with so many different things. It gives you that comforting feel of just throwing on a t-shirt but has a more flattering flare being sleeveless. Made of our jersey weight of cotton and modal, it is perfect for the hot summer temps and the sleeveless tee does not have any elastic, so it doesn’t cling to your body, which is what we all want when the temperatures are rising outside.  Feel free to check out our other summer collection products, we promise you won’t want to miss out!

Behind vermont lines:

Raven Ridge

Each month we reveal our selected employee’s favorite spot in Vermont, and Nancy’s is Raven Ridge! This is a natural area that spreads across Charlotte, Hinesburg, and Monkton, VT. With caves, wildlife, beautiful views, and cliffs, it’s an awesome place to go on a nature walk. You can also find some peace and quiet getting away from busy hiking trails. It’s a great place to go to make being active a little more fun. 

There’s a broad number of different things you can see which makes this place so special. The land is a rocky forest refuge for a variety of wildlife including the federally endangered Indiana bat. You may even spot a bobcat on the ridge’s rock outcroppings! Lewis Creek and surrounding wetlands also provide a diverse ecosystem for aquatic species. 

At Raven Ridge, you will find a beautiful hike up to the ridge with magnificent views of the Champlain Valley. You’ll also get the chance to explore "The Oven", home to a family of porcupines! Further along the ridge, more views open up, and in the summer months you can explore the slot caves at the end of the ridge trail. This is a multi-use natural area open to hikers. If you’re looking for a quiet hike with exceptional views this is the spot for you!
